Privacy

What we collect

Only what you type into the contact form, and the technical information any website receives in order to answer a request.

• · The contact form: your name, work email address, company, role, what you are interested in, your message, and the time you sent it. The role, interest and message fields are optional.
• · Whether you ticked the box asking for MACHHUB updates, so that we can show you asked and stop when you tell us to.
• · Server logs: the IP address, browser and pages requested, kept for security and for keeping the site running.
• · Your theme choice, light or dark, which is stored in your own browser and never sent to us.

What we do not do

• · No advertising cookie is set here, and no advertising network is given your data.
• · We do not sell, rent or share personal data with anyone for their own marketing.
• · We do not build a profile of you across other websites.
• · We do not send marketing email to an address that came through the contact form unless the box asking for updates was ticked.

Cookies, and counting visits

We use Google Analytics to see which pages are read and which are ignored. It is the only thing on this site that asks your permission, and it is off until you give it: nothing is requested from Google and no analytics cookie exists until you answer yes to the banner.

Saying no is remembered in the same way as saying yes, so the question is asked once. You can change your mind at any time from the link in the footer, which reopens the choice.

• · Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to tell one visit from the next. They record the pages you look at, roughly where in the world you are, and the kind of device and browser you use. Your IP address is shortened before it is stored.
• · Data tied to your visit is kept for 14 months, then deleted automatically. Reports that no longer identify any individual visit may be kept longer.
• · Your light or dark choice is kept on your own device and never reaches us. It is not a cookie and there is nothing to consent to.
• · The contact page loads Google reCAPTCHA, which sets its own cookie to tell a person from a script. It runs on that page only, and it is how the form stays usable rather than drowning in automated submissions.

Why we use it

To answer your enquiry, to prepare a quotation or a demonstration when you ask for one, and to keep a record of what was discussed so that the next conversation starts where the last one ended.

We do not send marketing email to an address given through the contact form unless you have asked us to.

Where it goes

A submitted form is published to our own MACHHUB system, which notifies our team and stores the enquiry. That system runs on infrastructure we operate. Your enquiry is not passed to a third-party marketing or CRM service.

Our staff see enquiries in order to answer them. Nobody outside the company is given access to them.

Other services this site uses

Some parts of the site request files from someone else, and those companies see your IP address as a result of your browser asking them for something.

• · Typefaces are requested from Google Fonts when a page loads.
• · Google Analytics, but only once you have agreed to it. What it records is sent to Google, which may store and process it outside Malaysia. Google acts on our instructions for this and is not permitted to use it for its own advertising.
• · The contact form is checked by Google reCAPTCHA before it is sent, which is how we keep automated submissions out. Google receives your IP address and how you interacted with that page.
• · The MACHHUB installer is downloaded from GitHub, where our releases are published.
• · The Self-Service Portal at portal.machhub.dev is a separate service with its own terms and its own account data. Signing in or registering there is not covered by this notice.

Downloads

Catalogues, fliers, manuals and the MACHHUB installer are served directly from this site. You do not have to give us an email address or fill in a form to download any of them, and we do not record who downloaded what.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for 24 months from our last exchange with you, or for as long as we have an ongoing business relationship, after which they are deleted. Server logs are kept for a short period for security purposes.

Your rights

Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 of Malaysia you may ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to delete it, or withdraw a consent you have given.

Write to contact@machhub.dev and we will respond. We may ask you to confirm who you are before we act on a request.

Keeping it safe

Access to enquiry records is limited to the people who need it, credentials are stored sealed, and the systems holding them are ours rather than a shared third-party platform. No system is perfect, and we will tell you if something happens that affects your data.

Children

This is a website for industrial buyers and engineers. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

Changes

If this notice changes we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be made clear rather than slipped in.
